Hey guys! Is anyone planing on going to Wondercon this year? It's the weekend of April 1-3. I'll be going on the 2nd (saturday). I'll be sporting my gold and crimson armor for the 405th there if anyone is interested in making a group out of it.

WIP's: ODST and possible weapons, thinking of doing a jet pack too.
I was wondering why there's an A and C company but not a B company?
Are there any California meet ups coming up and where and who will be there?

C and A are Northern and Southern California, respectively. Welcome to Alpha Company, James! Someone was working on a meetup here in so cal, but disneyland was out due to no costumes being allowed inside the park. for updates on the California Halo Costuming Group, facebook is a wonderful tool. you should totally join us there.

About me : I'm from San Diego, California and a 14 year U.S. Navy veteran where I worked as a jet engine specialist and also worked as a "final checker" (guys in the white jerseys) on an aircraft carrier. In 1997 I separated from the Navy after getting certified in Computer Applications and Networking from Coleman University. I landed a job as a computer operator at the San Diego Super Computer Center UCSD afterwards. My wife and I decided that one of us should stay at home after our second child was born and I won. So that I don't get bored, I started costuming back in 2006 and joined the 501st Legion as a sandtrooper, biker scout, EP3 clonetrooper and ROTJ Boba Fett. I discovered Halo costuming when doing a search for Pepakura files and got hooked after visiting the 405th site. So, I decided to make a Reach UNSC Trooper for starters. But my next Halo costume will be an ODST for sure.

This is my first experience with something of this caliber. I've painted a few surfboards, I make stencils, and, as I reposted above, I'm currently working on painting my XBOX controller. But I've always wanted to do costumes. Just let me know what to do (other than to get cracking' on it! ;])
